The ocean views are stunning and it's right by the beach, plus they offer bike rentals and water sports. The room felt cramped, and there was noise from the restaurant above, which made it hard to relax. a decent stay.

Direct beach access. Stunning fire pits and beautiful landscaping enhance the stay. The staff is friendly and quick to respond, particularly the maintenance team. Bar service is exceptional-with amazing views and reasonably priced drinks. the property itself has serious maintenance issues. One elevator was inoperative, the other malfunctioned. Rooms were tired and not well-kept, with cleanliness far below expectation for a premium rate. Stains, damaged flooring, and uncomfortable beds detracted from the experience. The location is a strong point, yet the disrepair overshadows its potential. Clearer communication regarding charges would also improve guest relations. Straightforward renovations are necessary to align the facilities with prices charged. A missed opportunity for what could be a wonderful getaway.

During our recent stay at The Tides, we experienced some mixed feelings about the hotel. The pros definitely included the stunning ocean view from the lobby and the cozy fireplace where we enjoyed a lovely dinner. The ambiance was romantic, especially with the option to have a bonfire on the beach right in front of the hotel. On the downside, there were some notable cons that affected our overall experience. The last-minute room we were provided with had signs that it wasn't properly cleaned, like finding clothes under the pillow.

Steps from a lovely beach, the location is ideal for sun-seekers. Unfortunately, the room was more motel than four-star. Dirty carpets, peeling paint, and awkward bathroom fixtures didn't impress, nor did the indifferent hotel staff who missed our honeymoon acknowledgment. A $30 resort fee seemed outrageous given the circumstances. While the stunning view from the room initially excited us, the distractions outside and room conditions ultimately clouded the experience. Better options exist nearby.

The breathtaking views of Monterey Bay from my ocean view room were truly spectacular, and I loved having the beach right outside my door, which made it super convenient for long strolls along the soft sand or exploring the nearby Seaside State Beach, just a few steps away; plus, there were so many fun activities available, like bike rentals, a game area outside, and a relaxing sitting area where I could enjoy food and drinks while soaking in the scenery. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and though the hotel showed some signs of age, their efforts to improve guest experiences, like adding a coffee bar and organizing yoga sessions on Saturdays, were nice touches, but a little more attention to updating the furniture and facilities would make it even better.

The room offered a stunning view of the bay. The bed was clean but had dingy linens with only two thin pillows. Noise from the old AC/heater unit disrupted sleep, starting suddenly and loudly. The room felt small and sometimes dirty underfoot, making slippers a necessity. Although the electric blinds blocked the view when malfunctioning, the atmosphere was enhanced by the relaxing sound of waves at night. maintenance issues, including loose floors and stained blinds, were noticeable. Despite its charm, the overall comfort could have been significantly improved with better management.

the hotel was clean and the location was awesome - right on the beach. it's close to a HomeDepot and a short drive to downtown. staff was kind and let me back in for my forgotten bouquet. morning breakfast was quick and good, and we had everything we needed in our room.

The advertised garden view was misleading, as it was really just a small planted area to separate the rooms from the parking lot.
